Mustafizur Rahman’s tryst with injuries continues. He has now been ruled out of Bangladesh’s upcoming Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Afghanistan due to a toe injury. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the news and is now looking for a replacement. Bangladesh will leave for India on Tuesday to play 3 T20Is on June 3, 5 and 7. All matches will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun.

Cricbuzz quotes, BCB physician saying: “Mustafizur damaged the thumb on his left leg during IPL and would not be travelling with the team.” He will be in rehabilitation for two-three weeks. Speaking at press-conference on Sunday, head coach Courtney Walsh had hinted about Mustafizur’s injury, but remained hopeful of his participation.
