Yuvraj Singh would have very disappointed to see India lose in the ICC T20 2014 final to Sri Lanka. India could only make 130 which Sri Lanka chased with six wickets in hand. Yuvraj could not get going as he made 11. He had his share of criticism after the loss.

In an interview with Indian Express Yuvraj threw light on the game, his comeback into the team after he fought off cancer, on captaincy and the Indian team.

“People came down heavily on me after the final. But they did not give credit to the Sri Lankan bowlers for performing well. The conditions were tough to bat, the ball was not coming onto the bat so well. I know this that I tried hard,”Yuvraj said.

One of the most memorable events of Yuvraj Singh’s is the six sixes he hit off Sturat Broad in 2007. Before the Broad over Flintoff had allegedly said something to him. “Yes, there was something going on between me and Andrew Flintoff on the field. I was hitting the ball well and he instigated me. It happens when you are in an aggressive frame of mind. In such a scenario, your performance either goes up or you lose your wicket,”he said.

In his 14-year Yuvraj has faced a lot of bowlers. Some have been very hard to handle. “It has to be Muttiah Muralitharan. Thank God he has retired from international cricket,” he revealed.
