Brendon McCullum has scored a half-century against Mumbai Indians. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are at 104 for two after 14 overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. McCullum is batting on 57 and Faf du Plessis is on 14. Chennai are chasing a 142-run target in Match 13 of IPL 7.
McCullum pulled a length delivery from Harbhajan over deep mid-wicket for his first six. The bats speed from McCullum was very fast. Then there was a chance to run McCullum out in the 11th over, but Aditya Tare’s throw was at the wrong end. McCullum kept the boundaries flowing as he charged down the track and flat-batted one from Harbhajan in the air down the ground for a four.
Pollard came into bowl the 13th over. He bowled a full-toss and McCullum pulled it away for a four behind square on the leg side. Later in the over, McCullum reached his half-century with a single. He reached his milestone off 36 deliveries. He then brought up Chennai’s 100 with a pull for a six off Zaheer.
Earlier, Mumbai only managed a total of 141 for seven in their 20 overs. Rohit Sharma top-scored with 50 runs in his 100th match in the IPL. Corey Anderson scored 39 runs, but it was a poor batting effort overall by Mumbai in Match 13 of IPL 7. Mohit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for Chennai with four wickets for 14 runs. Ben Hilfenhaus finished with two wickets for 39 runs.
