The asking run rate is going up and Kolkata Knight Riders will be hoping Yusuf Pathan finds some of his old form back to guide his team to victory against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014. Robin Uthappa had been playing a steady innings but got out to R Jadeja. West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell will be looking to make his IPL debut for Kolkata memorable by helping them register a win here. But was cleaned bowled by Mohit Sharma getting deceived by the slower ball.
Chennai has kept the bowling the tight and have not let the runs flow. The spinners for them have done a brilliant job restricting the batsmen. Kolkata had a good start but lost wicket at regular intervals which made things difficult for them. R Jadeja changed the match in his first over claiming three wickets.
Kolkata looked good in the start with Uthappa firing and scoring boundaries at a brisk rate but the loss of Gautam Gambhir and Jacques Kallis changed the game. Both the senior players lost their wickets cheaply. Shakib al Hasan who had a good day with the ball but played a rash shot and got out on the first ball he faced.
