Chennai Super Kings were closing in on a victory but lost the wickets of Dwayne Smith and Faf du Plessis in the process against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014.

With Chennai in cruise control and Dhoni at the crease, it was expected that Chennai would win the game on a canter but Bhuvaneshwar Kumar’s excellent bowling, taking two wickets off an over meant that the match would atleast go the penultimate over of the match. After the double breakthrough, skipper Shikhar Dhawan brought on his lynchpin Dale Steyn and he bowled a tidy over without a breakthrough.

Bhuvaneshwar came in for yet another over but Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni were happy to deal with singles and nullify Bhuvi’s threat. At the end of 18 overs, Chennai were 136 for four with only 10 required of the last two overs.
