The eight match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 7 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Daredevils (DD), Chennai struck early through Ishwar Pandey.
Ishwar Pandey finally got to bowl under MS Dhoni and steamed in the first over. After three cautious deliveries, Mayank Agarwal scooped over point for a boundary in the vacant areas. Only six runs came of the first over and it was a good start for Chennai. Ben Hilfenhaus bowled a superb first over and had Mayank Agarwal on all fours. After his magic with the bat, Suresh Raina provided inspiration on the field with a brilliant diving catch at gully of Pandey.
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first and posted a commanding score of 177 for seven, led by Suresh Raina’s superb half-century. MS Dhoni played one of his typical cameos towards the end, scoring 32 of just 15 balls.
