India‘s Cheteshwar Pujara is in the form of his life. After amassing most runs in a single Indian First-Class home season (1,316), Pujara has already struck back-to-back centuries in the ongoing three-Test series versus Sri Lanka. Interestingly, the recently-concluded second Test was also Pujara’s 50th match in whites. The right-hander made the most of the occasion and registered his 13th century. A brilliant 133-run knock set the platform for India’s thumping victory, an innings and 53 runs, at Colombo. As a result, his consistency has been hailed by Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. Nonetheless, seems like Pujara missed his ‘better half’ in the stands. He shared a special message for his wife Puja on social media.

This special gesture is winning hearts in the internet and it clearly signifies the equation shared by the couple. Puja has been an essential part of Pujara’s career. She was present in the stands when India’s mainstay scored a century in the series opener of the five-match Test series versus England in his home town, Rajkot. Her celebrations went viral when he reached three figures.

In season 2 of What The Duck (hosted by Vikram Sathaye), Pujara also mentioned about his wife’s role in the game he cherishes. She knows a lot about the game and keeps discussing the technical aspects with his father Arvind Pujara.

We, at CricketCountry, wish to see Puja cheering for her husband in the stands for the third and final Test versus Sri Lanka at Pallekele.
