Australia opener, Chris Rogers has scored his fourth Test century during the ongoing second Test against South Africa at Port Elizabeth.
Batting in the fourth innings of the Test match, Rogers played a brilliant innings as he brought up his ton in 192 balls. His last century had come against England in the fifth Ashes 2013-14 Test at Sydney. Rogers has now scored all of his last three hundreds batting during the second innings of the match.
Question marks were being raised on Rogers’s form, but this century in difficult situations will earn him more time in Australian colours for sure.
Rogers rode his luck on his way to the century, when he had edged a delivery off Dale Steyn. The umpire gave it not out, and the South Africans didn’t review it. Since that hiccup, he batted without giving anymore chances, while wickets tumbled at the other end.
