Mumbai Indians‘ star batsman Sachin Tendulkar on Wednesday shared his photo during a team training session for Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) 2012 on his official page on Facebook.
The defending champions are gearing up for their opening clash against Lions on Sunday.
The winners of the Winners will go home with a prize money of $2.5 million, the highest in the history of club cricket tournament. The total prize money of the tournament is $6 million.
Eight top teams from India, Australia and South Africa have directly qualified to play in the league. Top T20 teams from New Zealand, England, Pakistan and West Indies will have to battle it out in the Qualifiers from where only two teams will go trough.
Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils will be representing India in the Champions League.
Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won the previous two editions of the tournament.
Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils are pitted together in Group A along with Titans and Perth Scorchers while Mumbai Indians are placed with Chennai Super Kings, Sydney Sixers and Lions in Group B.
