CLT20 2012: Trinidad and Tobago set 182-run target against Uva Next in qualifier match

An inspired batting performance helped Trinidad and Tobago set a 182–run target against Uva Next in their Champions League Twenty20 qualigying match at Johannesburg.
Asked to bat first, the Caribbean side scored 181 for three from their allotted 20 overs.
Darren Bravo scored an unbeaten 54 from 42 balls, whereas skipper Denesh Ramdin cracked 50 not out off 31 balls.
Bravo and Ramdin added 95 runs for the fourth wicket to propel T&T to a huge total.
Lendl Simmons and William Perkins provided T&T a confident start, adding 33 runs for the first wicket.
It was in the fifth over that the Sri Lankan side got their first breakthrough, when Sachithra Senanayake got rid of Perkins for 32.
Perkins slammed two sixes and four boundaries to score 32 off 15 balls, before being cleaned up by the Uva Next spinner.
Uva Next soon got the second breakthrough when Evin Lewis was bowled by Umar Gul in the next over, which left the T&T side struggling at 40 for two.
Simmons then teamed up with Darren Bravo to put up a quick 46-run stand for the third wicket, which resurrected their innings.
