India pacer Ishwar Pandey, who will appear for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014, spoke about his confidence in himself and his team to do well in the tournament.

According to a report in Indian Express, Pandey said, “I am confident our side will do well. The team has been gelling as a unit and I am sure we will deliver. There is no one key player as such, all are important. Having said that, skipper Dhoni, Suresh Raina, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja who were part of the Indian team are in good form and this augurs well for the side.”

Pandey went on to talk about CSK’s batting. “Batting is our strength. All our batters are in great form. Raina got a hundred in England, plus all our batters are good shape and this should come handy in the tournament…KKR is a good side. It is important to begin a tournament on a winning note and we will strive to give our best in the opening game,’’ said Pandey.

The tall pacer also spoke of his time with the MRF Pace Foundation. “I had a fruitful training session with McGrath. I did not try out anything different. Kept training the regular stuff, with a mind on the basics. Of course I did practice bowling a couple of yorkers,’’ said Pandey.
