Kuldeep Yadav who bowled a captivating spell against Lahore Lions on Sundays has come out in admiration of his captain Gautam Gambhir.
“Yes, more or less. Today, for instance, the captain told me to bowl the way I always bowl. He gave me the freedom to be in my comfort zone and supported me fully with the fields he set. I flighted the ball and bowled my variations. I was under no pressure of being hit for runs or picking up wickets. I truly expressed myself out there,” told Yadav in an interview to clt20.com.
“One other thing that helped me today was that Gauti bhai set very attacking fields for me. He put a slip and a silly point in place for me for two overs. He is a very attacking captain.
“The moment one wicket falls, he surrounds the batsman with fielders. He always makes sure that it’s the batsman who feels the pressure, not the bowler. That is a very good thing about his captaincy.”
