England woman cricketer Danielle Wyatt had expressed her desire to marry India‘s vice-captain Virat Kohli few months back on popular social networking website Twitter. To this, her father said that he is unsure about the former’s proposal.
Danielle was present during the first Test between India and England at Trent Bridge and also met Kohli during India’s tour match against Derbyshire.
Steve Wyatt was quoted as saying by Asian Age, “Yes, my daughter did go to watch the first Test match and she may witness a few more India games. I am aware about my daughter’s proposal to Kohli” [he pronounced it correctly]. He further added, “I can’t say whether it was a serious offer, but can say that she is her fan and both are friends. I don’t involve in this but only look after my daughter’s cricketing career.”
Wyatt is also the manager of the 22-year-old English cricketer. On the other hand, Kohli’s mother does not feel that the Indian cricketer should marry now. “It is not the right age for Virat to marry now,” said Saroj Kohli. She concluded by saying, “We can’t think of his marriage for another 4-5 years. He has just started playing cricket. He has to concentrate on his batting and career ahead.”
