Deepak Chahar who was roped in by India as a replacement to Jasprit Bumrah is all set to make his debut in the third T20I against England at County Ground, Bristol. He becomes the 75 Indian player to play the shortest format of the game. He has been included in the playing XI replacing Kuldeep Yadav. Virat Kohli  suggested the green pitch at Bristol to be the reason for the selection. India have opted to bowl first in the series decider.

Chahar was the leading wicket-taker for India A picking 16 wickets. He displayed some good swing bowling with the new ball in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He ended with an impressive economy rate of 7.28. He has picked up 39 wickets in his 37 T20 matches so far. He will be bowling along sides with Umesh Yadav, Siddarth Kaul and Hardik Pandya.
