Delhi Daredevils vs Rajasthan Royals IPL 2014 match 23: Karun Nair slams fifty as Rajasthan close in on big win

Rajasthan Royals are cruising towatrds a comfortable win over the Delhi Daredevils in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 match at New Delhi on Saturday. Chasing 153 to win, RR were 136 for three after 17 overs, needing another 17 runs to win from 18 balls. Karun Nair completed his half-century, which was the backbone of this chase. Shane Watson was batting on nine.

Rajat Bhatia was cleaned up by Mohammed Shami in the 15th over, after he scored 17 runs off 13 balls,

Rajasthan Royals lost the key wicket of Sanju Samson as they reached 76 for two after 11 overs. At the crease were Rajat Bhatia and Karun Nair, batting on none and 28 not out respectively. Rajasthan Royals have recovered well in their run-chase of 153  In nine overs, Rajasthan are 60 for one and Sanju Samson and Karun Nair are batting in the centre. Rahul Sharma came on to bowl the seventh over. Karun Nair cut him very well through the gap between point and third-man and the ball raced away for a four. Nair also then lofted Rahul Sharma in the ninth over for four over cover. Earlier, Shane Watson won the toss and elected to bat. Delhi made one change as Rahul Sharma came into the side in place of Laxmi Ratan Shukla. On the other hand, Dhawal Kulkarni replaced Iqbal Abdulla for Rajasthan. Delhi then scored 152 for five in their twenty overs with Quinton de Kock, Kedar Jadhav and JP Duminy doing the major work.
