Derbyshire are 62/2 at Lunch on Day 3 of India’s tour game against Derbyshire. Paul Borrington and Billy Godleman are currently holding fort for Derbyshire, with both batsmen looking in no hurry to score runs. Godleman, who scored an unbeaten 67 in the first innings will look to repeat his impressive performance in the second innings too.

The Indians started the day on a high with Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissing Ben Slater in the third over itself. The Derbyshire opener had scored a half-century in the previous innings and it was important for India to dismiss him early if they wanted to restrict their opposition to a low total.

Paul Borrington and Chesney Hughes looked to rebuild the Derbyshire innings, before Hughes fell to a Stuart Binny delivery. Binny, who had scored an impressive 81 in the first innings, further strengthened his case for a call to the starting XI ahead of India’s first Test against England. Ishant Sharma bowled economically for his 7 overs but was unable to pick up any wickets.
