In the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, After hitting Varun Aaron for a huge six of the third over, Brendon McCullum almost ran himself out trying to take a risky single with Dwayne Smith. McCullum then thrashed the ball down the ground for a couple and there was no boundary for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in that over for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Bangalore got the breakthrough in the next over though. Yet again, McCullum was on the attack and heaved a boundary which got the toe end of his bat, went into orbit and rolled to the long on boundary. McCullum then tried the same shot but Mitchell Starc took an excellent catch in the deep. Things started to go from bad to worse for Chennai when the in-form Dwayne Smith went for a pull and the an unfortunate top-edge meant that the ball landed safely in Ab de Villiers hands at point. Suresh Raina and David Hussey are the new batsmen at the crease and they need to rebuild Chennai. Raina is looking in good nick at the moment.
