England announce squad for T20 series against Australia

England announced their 13-member squad for the Twenty20 International series against Australia on Monday.

Michael Carberry was the surprise selection in the squad that is set to play two Twenty20 matches against Australia starting on August 29.

The 32-year old opener Carberry has played one Test match for England, however he is yet to make his limited-overs international debut.

England have rested star batsman Kevin Pietersen and have brought back skipper Stuart Broad, who missed England’s previous Twenty20 encounter against New Zealand.
