England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to bat against Haryana in their four-day practice match.
England suffered a big blow ahead of their final warm-up match against Haryana, when Steven Finn and Stuart Broad were ruled out of action due to injuries.
The Telegraph informed on Twitter, “Steven Finn and Stuart Broad ruled out of England’s final warm-up match ahead of first Test against India.”
The English vice-captain Broad could not bowl on the third and final day of the drawn warm-up game against Mumbai A as he had a bruised left heel, for which he underwent a scan on Sunday.
