Shikhar Dhawan has been dismissed in the first innings of the second Test between England and India at Lord’s. James Anderson bowled one outside the off-stump in the third-over of the innings and Dhawan edged it to second slip, where it was well taken by Gary Ballance. The surface at Lord’s is very green and the bowlers are in for a good game.
The first over was bowled by James Anderson and Murali Vijay played it out quietly. The second over was bowled by Stuart Broad and Shikhar Dhawan edged the first ball through slips for a four to third-man. And then, Dhawan pushed one for a couple through point. There was also one occasion where the ball took his pads and went to the boundary for four leg-byes.
Earlier, England had won the toss and chosen to bowl first. The surface at lord’s has surprised many people as it is completely green and it is almost difficult to distinguish it from the outfield. Both sides did not make any change to the side and have retained the elevens that played at Nottingham in the first Test. Though Simon Kerrigan was included in the side, he wasn’t included by England.
