MS Dhoni reached a new landmark in the second T20I against England at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. This is Dhoni’s 500th international match for India. He has so far played 90 Tests, 318 ODIs and this is his 92nd T20I. Dhoni made his international debut for India on December 23, 2004. In his long career he has so far scored 16,298 international runs. He is also third in list of most dismissals as wicketkeeper in international matches with 780 dismissals, behind only Mark Boucher (998) and Adam Gilchrist (905).

Ahead of the second T20I, Dhoni is also approaching two new milestones. He is only one catch away of reach the 50-catch mark as wicketkeeper. Nobody else has even 35. Denesh Ramdin has 34 while Quinton de Kock has 30. In terms of batting, he needs only 45 runs to reach the 1,500-mark. He will be the third Indian (after Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suresh Raina) and 18th overall to the landmark.
