Rohit Sharma becomes the 2nd Indian and 5th player overall to complete 2,000 T20I runs. He reached this milestone in his 84th innings against England in the third T20I at County Ground, Bristol. Rohit was only 14 runs away from completing his 2,000 runs. He and KL Rahul are the only two Indians to have scored two centuries in the shortest format of the game. He missed his third ton by mere 3 runs in the first T20I against Ireland. He needs to play a big innings here chasing 199 to win the series. He might even go past Virat Kohli (2059) in the process if he carries on the same way.

Rohit has scored 15 half-centuries with a strike rate of 135.47 in his T20I career. He even came to bat at No.4 in the second T20I against Ireland when Rahul opened with Shikhar Dhawan. However, this Indian Premier League (IPL) season was a proof of him failing to get going at that position.
