The second Twenty20 International (T20I) between England and New Zealand at The Oval was called off after just two balls being bowled due to persistent rain.

New Zealand’s Mitchell McClenaghan dismissed England opener Michael Lumb on the second ball of the innings after the Kiwis opted to bowl first after winning the toss.

Unfortunately, that was to be the last action of the day as the rain came pouring down and did not stop until the 9.11pm cut-off time, after which the match had to be called off.

This means that New Zealand have won the T20 series 1-0 after their thrilling five-run win over the hosts on Tuesday.
