England are at 133 for five after 15 overs against South Africa in the ICC World T20 2014 at Chittagong on March 29. England are chasing an imposing 197-run target in the T20 World Cup. Ravi Bopara is batting on seven and Chris Jordan is on one. This is a Group 1 Super 10s match in the T20 World Cup. Jos Buttler was dismissed for 34.
Steyn was brought back into the attack in the 12th over. England’s 100 came up as Buttler opened the face of the bat and got a single towards third-man. The scoring in became very slow as the required run-rate neared 12 runs an over. Tahir then found the outside-edge off Morgan’s bat with one which skidded one. De Kock took the catch and Morgan was out for 14 runs off 14 deliveries.
Buttler then teased the South African fielders with two consecutive fours. He first hit one from Hendricks for a four over de Villiers at mid-off. The next delivery was hit over Parnell at mid-on for another four. He then smashed one towards wide long-on for a six. But Buttler reverse-swept one from Tahir to Albie Morkel at point. Morkel, though, dislocated his finger while catching the ball.
Earlier, England captain Stuart Broad won the toss and elected to bowl first. England are unchanged from their brilliant win over Sri Lanka. South Africa are led by AB de Villiers as Faf du Plessis is serving a one-match suspension. Farhaan Behardien comes in for du Plessis. Wayne Parnell replaces Lonwabo Tsotobe.
South Africa posted an imposing total of 196 for five in their 20 overs against England. Hashim Amla scored a fluent 56 off 37 deliveries with six fours and two sixes at the top of the order. Although, it was AB de Villiers’s brilliant 28-ball 69 that powered South Africa in the end. He struck nine fours and three sixes in his extra-ordinary innings.
