England win toss, elect to bat against Australia in 1st ODI at Melbourne

England have won the toss and chosen to bat in the first One-Day International (ODI) against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This is a chance for England to redeem themselves in the aftermath of the 5-0 Ashes 2013-14 drubbing.
Alastair Cook is leading this side, which features the likes of Ravi Bopara, Eoin Morgan etc. Chris Jordan, Boyd Rankin and Gary Ballance are some of the newcomers in the team. As far as Australia are concerned, they have opted to rest Mitchell Johnson and James Pattinson is not playing this game. Nathan Coulter-Nile and Clint McKay are playing in the side.
