South Africa are at 360 for four after 113 overs in their second innings. They need another 98 runs to win the first Test. Du Plessis is batting on 102 and AB de Villiers is on 87.
The initial target for South Africa was 458. If they get the runs, this will break the world record for the highest run-chase in Test cricket.
The record belongs to West Indies in 2003 against Australia at St John’s when they chased down a 418-run target. The highest fourth innings total is 654 for five as England were chasing a 696-run target against South Africa at Durban in 1939.
