Glenn Maxwell hits career-best List A score of 146 against Lancashire

Glenn Maxwell registered his highest limited overs score hammering a 96-ball 146 for Hampshire against Lancashire in the Royal London One-Day Cup at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday. Maxwell hit 22 fours and two sixes in his innings.

Maxwell walked in at No 3 with the team’s score nine for one after electing to bat. He was involved in a 179-run stand in 134 deliveries with Will Smith who scored only 49 in 59 balls. Maxwell had scored more than half the team’s runs when he departed with Hampshire on 236 for three. Hampshire went on to pile on 360 for nine in 50 overs. In reply, Lancashire folded up for 212 thereby losing by 148 runs.

Before this innings,  Maxwell’s career-best List A score was 145 against India A in the tri-series involving South Africa A. Maxwell had hit 145 in 79 balls with 18 fours and six sixes on August 8, 2013.
