Graeme Smith scores 38th half-century; South Africa going strong against India in 1st Test

Graeme Smith has scored his 38th Test half-century. The South African captain got to his milestone on Day Two of the first Test against India in Johannesburg. South Africa are at 107 for one after 32 overs. Smith is batting on 53 and Hashim Amla is on 28.

 

The partnership between the duo is worth 70 runs for the second wicket. The only wicket to fall so far was Alviro Petersen for 21 off 41 balls. He was out leg-before to Ishant Sharma after lunch on Day Two.

 

MS Dhoni has used Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin so far. South Africa trail India by 173 runs.
