Ian Botham along with Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will be hosting a T20 cricket match for charity at Warner Park stadium in St. Kitts on 12th August, 2014. The money raised by the match would go to Special Olympics St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities and the Creative Youth Academy.

The two teams playing the match will be captained by Brian Lara and Ian Botham. Lara’s team will feature former cricketing greats like Courtney Walsh, Curtly Ambrose, Desmond Haynes and Graeme Swann while Botham’s team will feature Marcus Mumford (lead singer of the music band Mumford and Sons), Darren Gough and Danny Morrison.

“We’ve got some fantastic talents taking the field on Tuesday night and I would like to thank them for getting involved for a great cause. Nothing beats cricket in the Caribbean and the party cricket vibes are guaranteed to keep the runs and the rums flowing.”, Botham was quoted as saying by CPLT20.com.
