Rohit Sharma is all set to feature in the Indian side for their second and final warm-up match ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, against Bangladesh. India will take on the Asian side at The Oval in London on May 30, ahead of their tournament opener against the arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4. Rohit, who had captained Mumbai Indians (MI) to a win in the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, had arrived late in the UK to join the team. In their first match, India had defeated New Zealand by a margin of 45 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method. While India will be pleased after Shikhar Dhawan (40), Virat Kohli (55) and MS Dhoni (17 not out) made vital contributions; the defending champions would want Rohit to get some match practise and acclimatisation. According to the Indian Express, Rohit also had a training session with the Indian team at The Oval on Monday. However, on the other hand, India are still sweating over the fitness of Yuvraj Singh.

It must be remembered that Rohit and Dhawan had formed a successful pair for India in the previous edition of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. While Dhawan topped the charts with 363 runs in 5 matches, Rohit made 177 runs in as many games, at 35.40 with 2 fifties.

Rohit will be making a comeback of sorts in the Indian side, as the right-hander missed a huge chunk of the Indian home summer wherein they played series against England, Australia and Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Yuvraj, who suffered a bout of viral fever, is being monitored.
