ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Silent march against Times Now in Bangalore for mocking Indian cricket team

It's felt that India were unfairly criticised by the TV news channel.

A group of people are going on a silent march in Bangalore on Saturday against English news channel Times Now after their unfair coverage of India’s exit at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. A group called Namma Bengaluru South have organised his rally, which will start from the Mahatma Gandhi statue to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadiwum, roughly covering about four kilometers. India exited the mega event after they lost to Australia by 95 runs in the semi-final. There has been a outrage across all social media platform with #ShameOnTimesNow trending worldwide. Former India player Atul Wassan, who was among the pane, threatened to walk out of the discussion if Indian players are being humiliated on national television, but the channel was relentless in their pursuit to degrade the players. The channel in question went to the extent of blaming Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, girlfriend of India vice-captain Virat Kohli for the loss. They also blasted MS Dhoni’s leadership abilities after he had done the team admirably in the World Cup. They went on to criticise Dhoni for mocking the media after he was questioned on his retirement, while the skipper was just answering the question in a sarcastic manner.
