Brett Lee wants the Australian team to relish once in a lifetime opportunity of a home World Cup and treat each game as a grand final. Lee turned nostalgic remembering his own World Cup campaigns and said that the present team wouldn’t understand the magnitude of the tournament until they would look back when they neared the end of the careers.
According to News.com.au, the cricketer, who played a major role during Australia’s undefeated 2003 campaign in South Africa, expressed elation at playing with great cricketers, saying that he was a part of an era when Australia dominated world cricket.
Lee said that it doesn’t get any better than for these young guys to walk out in front of their home crowd to play a World Cup fixture in front of a full house.
