Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan, who is a politician now, faces libel charges of Rs. 20 billion from the current Pakistan Muslim League-N party. The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief had earlier accused former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry of rigging the 2013 general election. If Imran fails to apologise, he will face legal proceeding against him.

Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has landed in trouble, with a libel notice worth Rs.20 billon and a severe criticism from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N too boot. Imran, who had led Pakistan to win the 1992 World Cup, has been asked to focus on the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is ruled by PTI. Imran Khan has played 88 Tests and 175 One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 3,807 runs and 3,709 runs respectively. He has picked up 362 Test wickets and 182 ODI wickets. He holds the record of leading Pakistan in the most number of Tests and ODIs.
