WI A 235 | Overs 39.1 | Cummings 4* OUT! Nurse c N Ojha b b Narwal 57

Sumit Narwal wraps up the innings as he gets Ashley Nurse caught behind, but not before the tail-ender  completed his half-century.

WI A 205/9 | Overs 37 | Nurse 31*, Cummings 0* OUT! Beaton hit wicket b Unadkat 15

Ronsford Beaton finally loses his wicket in the most comical circumstances as he loses his balance while flicking the ball off his ankles and trods onto the stumps. He is out hit-wicket. India are one wicket away from a win.

WI A 203/8 | Overs 36 | Nurse 30*, Beaton 14*

Ashley Nurse and Ronsford Beaton are defying the Indians with a gritty ninth-wicket stand. The Indians would want to finish this off as soon as possible.

WI A 184/8 | Overs 32 | Nurse 24*, Beaton 2* OUT! Miller c&b Rahul 2

Rahul Sharma takes his second wicket, that of Nikita Miller who hits the ball right back at the bowler for a simple return catch. Only a matter of time now.

WI A 177/7 | Overs 30 | Nurse 21*, Miller 0* OUT! Deonarine c Mandeep b Rahul 57

Narsingh Deonarine and Ashley Nurse are defying the Indian bowling attack with a stubborn partnership. Deonarine has brought up his half-century and is looking very comfortable in the middle. And just as I type that, he has thrown his wicket away to Rahul Sharma. Deonarine tries to go for the mighty pull but can only find Mandeep Singh at mid-wicket. He will be disappointed with that after playing so well.

WI A 142/6 | Overs 25 | Deoarine 43*, Nurse 2* OUT! Thomas lbw b Yusuf 10, Russell run out 1

Yusuf Pathan gets his second wicket as he traps Devon Thomas in front. In the next over, new man Andre Russell is run out after a mix-up. It’s all going awry for the visitors here.

WI A 112/4 | Overs 20 | Deoarine 26*, Thomas 0* OUT! Fletcher c Chand b Yusuf 29

Andre Fletcher’s resistance is over as he finds a leading edge going for a sweep off Yusuf Pathan, and the catch is taken easily by Unmukt Chand at short fine-leg. West Indies’ run-rate isn’t bad, but their wickets column is the worrying factor.

WI A 92/3 | Overs 16 |  Deonarine 17*, Fletcher 19*

Narsingh Deonarine and Andre Fletcher are stitching together a nice little partnership. They are taking the attack to the Indian bowlers and are maintaining a run-rate close to a run-a-ball. They will of course need more than that in order to win this game.

WI A 58/3 | Overs 11 |  Deonarine 3*, Fletcher 0*  OUT! K Edwards c N Ojha b Narwal 19

Sumit Narwal decides to take a wicket himself after accepting a catch earlier. The medium-pacer bowls full and outside off to try and get Kirk Edwards to drive; the batsman obliges and finds the edge that carries easily to the ‘keeper. India A are well on top here.

WI A 47/2 | Overs 8 |  K Edwards 13*, Deonarine 0*  OUT! K Powell c Narwal b V Kumar 17

Vinay Kumar gets his second wicket. This time, it is the West Indies A skipper, Kieran Powell, who has to depart. The visitors were looking to score quickly and Vinay wasn’t offering any loose deliveries, which forced Powell to manufacture something. He tried to pull Kumar, but found the top edge which was easily pouched by Sumit Narwal at mid-off. So, India A have dismissed both the Windies openers.

WI A 25/1 | Overs 4 |  K Powell 7*, K Edwards 0*  OUT! N Bonner c N Ojha b V Kumar 16

After a brisk start, West Indies A have lost the wicket of opener Nkrumah Bonner after he found the outside edge off an outswinger. Bonner and fellow opener and captain Kieran Powell had earlier provided a good start to the Windies, getting 24 runs from the first three overs.

Hello, this is Jaideep Vaidya taking over from Sarang for the second innings.

INDIA A Innings

Ind A 312/4 | Overs 42 |  Yusuf 70*, Ojha 10*

So what have we got? India A have scored 312 for four thanks to late hitting by Yusuf Pathan. He scored 70 off 32 deliveries. The last 14 overs went for 182 runs. Will West Indies A win the match?

Ind A 279/4 | Overs 40 |  Yusuf 49*, Ojha 1* OUT! Yuvraj 123 (89)

Welcome back Yuvraj Singh. What a century. He motors along to a fine century — his 18th in the List A career.

He falls after scoring 123 off 89 deliveries. The Yuvraj show ends.

Ind A 242/3 | Overs 37 | Yuvraj 98*, Yusuf 40*

We have a 28-run over. Yusuf Pathan is on a rampage. He has smashed Nurse all over the park. The boundary ropes were irrelevant on this occasion.

Ind A 204/3 | Overs 35 | Yuvraj 90*, Yusuf 12*

Yuvraj is smashing West Indies A attack. Nikita Miller went for 23 runs. The hitting was of the highest quality. He is in supreme touch. The duo bring fifty-run partnership.

Ind A 152/3 | Overs 31 | Yuvraj 49*, Yusuf 1* OUT! Mandeep 67 (78)

Mandeep Singh falls to Nikita Miller trying to work the ball towards leg-side. Nikita Miller is ecstatic. The drinks break broke Mandeep’s concentration. Yuvraj is on 49.

Ind A 130/2 | Overs 28 | Mandeep 64*, Yuvraj 34*

Mandeep is doing nothing wrong while Yuvraj is breaking free. India A are on a rampage. The West Indies A bowlers are confounded. India A are looking to go on the attack. Mandeep is eyeing his maiden List A century.

Ind A 88/2 | Overs 21 | Mandeep 42*, Yuvraj 14*

Mandeep is in fine form. The shot he hit against Nikita Miller over covers was the best of the innings. His form is looking ominous for West Indies. India A have got a solid platform to accelerate.

Ind A 60/2 | Overs 16 | Mandeep 21*, Yuvraj 7*

Mandeep is batting confidently. He played a few iffy shots at the start of the innings but he has nicely settled down. Yuvraj is getting his eye in. He has looked compact. The wicket is easing out for batting.

Ind A 49/2 | Overs 12 | Mandeep 16*, Yuvraj 1* OUT! Uthappa 23 (37)

Uthappa falls trying to pull Russell. The ball was hit nicely and it went straight to deep square-leg. A promising start has been given away.

Ind A 45/1 | Overs 11 | Uthappa 22*, Mandeep 16*

Uthappa and Mandeep — the duo is looking comfortable. The partnership is blossoming. Uthappa is looking to punish the bad balls. Andre Russell was cut ferociously in his first over. India A would be looking to carry on with ths partnership.

Ind A 27/1 | Overs 7 | Uthappa 12*, Mandeep 11*

Uthappa and Mandeep have consolidated India A a little. The ball is still moving — so it becomes important to see of the initial overs without losing wickets in a cluster.

Ind A 8/1 | Overs 3 | Uthappa 6*, Mandeep 0* OUT! U Chand 1 (10)

Unmukt Chand falls for one. The ball is moving a lot and Chand plays a half-hearted slash shot against Miguel Cummins. Tight bowling gets rewarded. West Indies A have drawn the first blood.
