New Zealand have been bowled out for 192 in their first innings just after tea on Day One of the second Test against India in Wellington on February 14, 2014. Ishant Sharma was the pick of the bowlers as he took six wickets. Mohammed Shami got four wickets.
Kane Williamson top-scored for New Zealand with 47 runs off 100 deliveries. Williamson survived two dismissals as Zaheer Khan and Ishant bowled no-balls to him on wicket-taking deliveries. Williamson hit six fours.
Debutant James Neesham scored 33 off 35 deliveries and Tim Southee scored 32 off 32 deliveries. Neesham struck seven fours while Southee smashed one four and three sixes.
Ishant finished with figures of six for 51. This is Ishant’s best bowling figures in an innings as well. It was also his second six-wicket haul in as many Test matches. He took six wickets in the first Test in Auckland as well.
Shami took his four wickets giving away 70 runs. New Zealand only played 52.5 overs. New Zealand lead the two-match Test series 1-0. They won the first Test by 40 runs.
