India’s second tour game which was scheduled to begin on Friday has been cancelled due to Phillip Hughes’ death on Thursday. According to a report in smh.com.au, Indian team had just finished their training session when the news of Hughes’ death arrived.
Hughes died after he suffered from head injuries after being struck by a bouncer from Sean Abbott. Hughes was represnting South Australia in a Shieffield Shield match on Tuesday when the incident happened. Virat Kohli who is leading the Indian team in Australia also expressed shock on twitter and mourned his death. Indian team is in Australia to play four Tests against Australia. The first Test is scheduled to start Brisbane from December 4.
