Bhuvneshwar Kumar entered the record books after his match-saving performance against England in the first Test at Trent Bridge by becoming the first man since Peter Siddle to score twin fifties in a Test match while batting at No 9.

Siddle had achieved the feat against India in 2013 in a Test match in Delhi. In that match, Siddle had scores of 51 off 136 deliveries and 50 off 45 balls to top score in both innings for Australia. Bhuvneshwar has gone one better by scoring two fifties batting at No 9, and also recording a five-wicket haul — his first in Tests.
