Although Australia broke their losing streak in the newly built Barsapara Stadium against India, the tourists would be leaving the city with bitter memories. After the win, a stone was hurled at their team bus. It shattered one of the windows and Aaron Finch posted the gruesome image on his Instagram account. Fortunately, the players were safe. However, it left sourness on the minds of the cricketers after a thumping victory.

Pretty scary having something thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!

The players were heading to the bus for returning to their hotel. It was then when someone threw a rock, believed to be the size of a cricket ball. It hit a window on the right-hand side of the bus. The projectile pierced through the glass and ended up inside the bus, shattering the window. However, no one was sitting on the seat next to that window and were safe.

Since then, the players were accompanied by local police and security officials back to their hotel from the ground. On learning about the incident and watching the images shared by Finch, former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson termed the incident as a disgraceful act.

Australian cricketers faced such incident second time in five weeks. During their tour to Bangladesh for the Test series, a small rock was thrown on their bus at Chittagong. However, no glass was broken and caused minor damage. The security beefed up at Bangladesh thereafter.
