India are 283 for four in 45 overs against Australia in the seventh One-Day International (ODI) at Bangalore. Rohit Sharma is unbeaten on 142, whereas Mahendra Singh Dhoni is batting on 29.
The 41st over went for six runs, and Dhoni got one boundary there as he tucked one round the corner on the leg-side for for. Then, Rohit smashed James Faulkner over the covers for another. The fielder in the deep had hardly moved as the ball raced past him and went into the boundary.
Rohit then pulled James Faulkner flat over square-leg. Moises Henriques came around to take the catch, but it went through his hands and sailed over the ropes for six. Clint McKay then strayed onto Rohit’s pads and was carted over square-leg for another maximum.
Rohit then carted Nathan Coulter-Nile through the covers in the 45th over to complete 1,000 runs in ODIs in 2013. Dhoni also got into the act by pulling through mid-wicket for four and another through fine-leg.
