Glenn Maxwell may have left the stage, but Shane Watson has continued the destructive-work as Australia are 190 for six in 27 overs in the seventh One-Day International (ODI) against India at Bangalore. Australia have to chase 384, which is still some distance away, but Watson’s burst would give them some hope.
There was a bit of a needle in the middle as Shikhar Dhawan and Watson had a small exchange. Dhawan imitated Watson as if he was limping and later the Australian was seen waving his bat at him.
But, that perhaps worked for Watson as he smashed Shami Ahmed for a six over long-on and then a four through the covers in the 24th over. When R Vinay Kumar came in next, he was hit for a four and then three sixes off the last three balls of the 25th over.
Watson then charged to Ravindra Jadeja and carted him over long-off for a flat six.
