Ravindra Jadeja and Stuart Binny steadied India as the visitors crossed 200 and extended their lead to 168 against England on Day Five of the first Test at Trent bridge on Sunday. Jadeja is on eight and Binny is on 13 with India on 207 for six.
Resuming on 167 for three, India lost quick wickets early on with Stuart broad removing Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane. Skipper MS Dhoni and Jadeja hung around nervously for 45 minutes. Skipper Alastair Cook even dropped a regulation slip catch offered by Dhoni. It was Liam Plunkett who eventually dismissed Dhoni for 11.
Jadeja on the other hand dragged his bat around against James Anderson and was stuck on duck for 37 deliveries. Perhaps that was the reason for charging down to Anderson in Tests under overcast conditions. He eventually manage to do so successfully and got off the mark with a boundary.
