After a sedate start, Alastair Cook and Sam Robson have picked up pace in the first innings of the fifth Test between India and England at The oval. England are now 39 for no loss and Robson has now moved into the 20s. England had earlier in the day bowled India out for 148.
Robson is under pressure and has looked good in this innings so far. After the fifty in the first Test, he hasn’t really performed and needs that performance to get back on track.
Earlier in the day, MS Dhoni hit a fighting 82 as England bundled India out for 148. It was still a respectable score from being at 44 for six at one stage. Dhoni played a lone hand and ensured India got there. Nevertheless, this score is not too big and shouldn’t be a problem for England.
