Cheteshwar Pujara has been dismissed for four on Day One of the fifth Test between India and England at The Oval. Pujara was bowled by Stuart Broad as an incoming delivery beat his defence and shattered the stumps. In fact, while going onto the stumps, it hit Pujara on the back-arm and went onto the woodwork.
Earlier, India had lost the earlier wicket of Gautam Gambhir for a duck. He was out in the first over as James Anderson got him to edge one. India are now 10 for two in six overs. England had won the toss and chosen to bowl first and have already extracted a lot of movement out of the surface. India find themselves in trouble yet again.
Murali Vijay is now batting and has to be resolute. Virat Kohli has joined him in the centre and they face an uphill task. Some inspirational batting is the need of the hour.
