Ravichandran Ashwin threw his wicket away to a short ball as India lost their seventh wicket on Day One of the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester on Thursday. India are 129 for seven.
Ashwin had got off to a brilliant start scoring briskly. He came in when India were at 63 for six. With his sweet timing, Ashwin was scoring fluently while Dhoni played out a solid innings from the other end.
Ashwin never looked in trouble as he read James Anderson’s tricks with ease. The clever mix of inswing and outswing can leave a batsman flummoxed but Ashwin had it all covered against Anderson. He was least concerned about the bouncers and even went after one and top-edged for six. He finally committed an error trying to go after a short ball and holed out a simple catch to Sam Robson at midwicket.
