India’s openers have put them on top in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) against England at Edgbaston. Both Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan are attacking the England bowling, and are looking good to overhaul the 207-run target with time to spare.
Earlier in the innings, Rahane had hit Anderson for four fours in an over. And then in the 10th over, Dhawan smashed Chris Woakes for three fours in the over. Since then, both batsmen have settled down, getting the odd boundary but defending resolutely as well.
Earlier, MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl. India were forced to make a change with Mohit Sharma being ruled out due to injury. Dhawal Kulkarni came in his place. England made quite a few changes. In came Gary Ballance, Moeen Ali and Harry Gurney came into the side. Ian Bell, James Tredwell and Ben Stokes. England scored only 206 and that was largely due to Moeen Ali’s brisk 67.
