England’s last pair of James Anderson and Chris Woakes are taking England’s lead towards 200 on Day Three of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester. England are 359 for eight with a lead of 207.
Alastair Cook has chosen not to declare as the tail-enders continue to face some short balls from Varun Aaron. Earlier, Stuart Broad was retired hurt after suffering an injury off a nasty bouncer by Aaron.
It’s now a known fact that Broad is uncomfortable against the bouncers and India thought of testing him with just that. Varun Aaron bowled the first bouncer and it was pulled for six. Aaron persisted with the short ball and it once again ended up in the stands. The third bouncer bounced a bit more and the ball went through the gap in his helmet and hit in the centre above the two eyes.
