India were off to a cautious start against England in their second innings on Day Three of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday. James Anderson and Chris Woakes started the proceedings for England as Stuart Broad was unavailable due to injury. India are four for no loss after five overs.
Anderson got swing right from the start while Woakes has been accurate as well. Both Gambhir and Vijay have been watchful after the disaster in the first innings.
England’s ended their first innings on 367 with a lead of 215 runs. England began their innings late on Day One when they bowled India out for 152. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Varun Aaron made early inroads but Ian Bell (58) and the partnership of Joe Root (77), Jos Buttler (70) were the backbone of England’s eventual total.
