Pacer Pankaj Singh bagged his maiden Test wicket as he removed Joe Root. Singh went wicketless in the first Test. Root was dismissed for 77 off 161 in the first session on Day Three of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday. England are 304 for seven with a lead of 152 runs.
Earlier, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni missed an opportunity of running out Jos Buttler, who completed his second fifty in Two Tests.
Varun Aaron threw the ball but Dhoni could not manage to grab it. Buttler is unbeaten on 55.
Buttler and Joe Root’s was the sixth best seventh wicket partnership at Old Trafford. The best seventh wicket partnership is between Manoj Prabhakar and Sachin Tendulkar.
