Rain continues to play truant, and has interrupted play on Day 2 of the fourth Test match between India and England at Manchester. England have the upper hand in the game thanks to some terrific bowling by Stuart Broad.
The English batting has not been impressive, and only Ian Bell could get past a half century. Varun Aaron impressed on his Test debut and took as many as three wickets.
Earlier, Jos Buttler and Joe Root put up an unbeaten fifty partnership. Buttler stepped up the pressure with a few aggressive shots while Root looked solid. Pankaj Singh continued to be unlucky as a wicket continues to elude him even as he bowled well. Dhoni started with Ravindra Jadeja post lunch and the batsmen looked comfortable against the left-arm spinner. England lost three wickets in the first session.
