MS Dhoni was dismissed by Steven Finn for India against England in the fifth One-Day International (ODI) at Headingley. Finn, bowling his second over of the powerplay, struck possibly the biggest blow of the innings to get the Indian skipper out caught at covers.
Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field first. Dhawal Kulkarni got to play just one game before being dropped in favour of Umesh Yadav, while Ben Stokes and James Tredwell came in to replace Gary Ballance and Harry Gurney. Joe Root’s superb century guided England to a commanding score of 294 for seven. After skipper Alastair Cook got England off to a good start, the pair of Root and Jos Buttler consolidated, while Stokes provided some late fireworks.
